About

Software that respects you.

I'm Sleepy. I build local-first apps, tools, and content — free, open, and yours.

Most software today rents you access to your own stuff. It phones home, shows you ads, locks features behind subscriptions, and uploads your files to someone else's computer. I think that's backwards.

SleepyDev is the opposite bet: tools that run on your machine, work offline, cost nothing, and keep their source in the open. No accounts. No telemetry. No catch. You download it, it's yours.

It started with the apps — Slumbr, a dictation tool — and it's growing into everything I make: desktop software, videos, After Effects scripts, this website, a community. Same principle behind all of it.

What that means

Local-first

Runs on your machine. Works offline. Fast, because nothing waits on a server.

Free & open

Free to use, source on GitHub. Fork it, read it, trust it.

No tracking

No ads, no analytics, no crash reporters, no third-party SDKs. Nothing phones home.

Yours

Delete the app and keep your files. You never lose access to your own work.

What I'm building

Desktop apps Windows tools that do one thing well.
Content Build logs, demos, and tutorials on YouTube.
AE scripts Free tools for video editors — in the works.
Open source Everything public lives on GitHub.
Community A Discord for the people who use this stuff.
